VANATHI
SUNDARARAMAN

Vanathi is a South Asian actress and singer from the Bay currently based in Los Angeles. A romantic, a dreamer, a woman with far too many types of laughs, the most prominent one being: "The Wheeze".

She initially attended UC Riverside thinking she would become a Civil Rights Lawyer, and was part of the premier Mock Trial team but always wound up playing the witness and never the lawyer. That probably should've been a clue. Fed up with feeling stuck, she decided to transfer to UC San Diego where she discovered acting and everything finally made sense. She holds a B.A. in Psychology with a double minors in both Theatre and Business and  trained at Margie Haber, Graham Shiels, and UCB.

In some other timeline she's probably lawyering the best anyone's ever lawyered, but in this one, she thanks the stars every day that she decided to move to San Diego so she could get to fall in love with acting and countless beach sunsets.

She wants to create meaningful work for all the dreamers who crave something more from this world. The type of art that reminds people that joy and silliness exist even when they can't find it within themselves. Art that makes their soul feel hopeful and understood. She is excited by storytelling that provides a haven of escapism while also allowing you to feel deeply seen and represented. She is an activist who believes art is pivotal to social change and feels lucky to be an artist in this dark world.

Lets get silly, magical, deeply vulnerable, and free.
